Do You Follow the Fee Guide?
We proudly adhere to the Alberta Dental Fee Guide to provide our patients who are more like family to us, with the quality dental care they deserve at an affordable cost. To see a full list of prices, click here to visit our 2024 Alberta Dental Fees Page.
Is Direct Billing Offered?
Le Family Dental accepts almost all insurance plans. We offer easy, hassle-free direct billing by submitting your claim directly to your insurance company.
When Should My Child First Visit the Dentist?
Le Family Dental adheres to the guidelines set forth by the Canadian Dental Association, advocating for children to undergo a dental evaluation within six months of their first tooth eruption or by the age of one, whichever occurs earlier. Initiating dental visits at a young age lays the foundation for a lifelong commitment to excellent oral health and the maintenance of healthy smiles.
Do You Treat Children?
Yes! At Le Family Dental, we understand that each child is unique and has needs specific to their oral health. We know there can be a negative association with the dentist, especially for younger patients, which is why we do our best to create a friendly and comfortable environment for them.
How Do I Practice Good Oral Hygiene at Home?
Apart from the evident advice of brushing your teeth twice a day for 2-3 minutes each session, here are some measures you can adopt for excellent dental health.
- Floss daily
- Use mouthwash daily
- Use products that contain fluoride
- Eat a balanced diet of fruits and vegetables
- Limit your intake of high sugar snacks
- Drink plenty of water
- Avoid tobacco
How Often Should I Receive a Cleaning?
It is advised that you schedule at least two dental appointments annually. While a professional cleaning every six months is recommended for most individuals, those at a higher risk of gum disease or tooth decay may need to visit their dentist more often within the year.
State-of-the-Art Technology and Modern Dental Clinic
Our practice is equipped with state-of-the-art dental technology to ensure that you receive the highest standard of dental care. We utilize modern diagnostic tools; such as 3-D imaging via CBCT scanner which includes high definition images with exceptional detail, digital x-rays to reduce exposure to radiation, Guided Biofilm Therapy for more comfortable and efficient hygiene treatments; and treatment methods to address your concerns effectively and efficiently by staying current with continued education.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation Available
We provide nitrous oxide as a safe and effective option for managing anxiety and discomfort during dental procedures. Also known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide is administered through a mask placed over the nose, inducing feelings of relaxation and calmness without rendering the patient unconscious. One of the primary benefits of nitrous oxide is its rapid onset and offset, allowing patients to recover quickly and resume normal activities following the procedure.
Guided Biofilm Therapy
Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) revolutionizes dental hygiene by employing cutting-edge technology to achieve superior results. This innovative approach utilizes state-of-the-art devices to precisely detect and remove dental plaque, tartar, and biofilm from the teeth and gums. By combining ultrasonic scalers, air-polishing devices, and fluorescence-based detection systems, GBT ensures thorough cleaning while minimizing discomfort and damage to surrounding tissues. Unlike traditional scaling methods, GBT targets biofilm—the root cause of many dental issues—resulting in a more effective and long-lasting clean.
